Christmas Mile Run

On Wednesday 12th December, Year 3’s Manorfield Primary School girls put on their Santa hats and trainers for a ‘Santastic’ mile run at Langdon park. Joined by amazing instructors from local organisation Fit for What, they finished not one but two energy-packed laps around Langdon park, before descending upon the Teviot Centre to dig into yummy coconut energy balls prepared by MyTime Active and write about why exercise is important to them. The fun filled day engaged the girls in sport and learning about keeping fit and eating healthily. Family members cheered at the sidelines alongside WellOne, Poplar Harca, FareShare, Tower Hamlets Homes and the Poplar and Limehouse Health Network who also helped to organise the event and snap the excitement in action!
