Youth space with a wide range of activities for ages 11–19, 25 for SEND people

Spotlight is an award-winning youth centre offering safe, welcoming spaces for young people aged 11–19, and for SEND young people up to 25.

Located near Langdon Park DLR, Spotlight provides free, inspiring programmes co-designed with young people, supported by skilled youth workers and trusted partners. From creative arts and sports to health services and leadership opportunities, Spotlight helps young people grow, connect, and thrive in a supportive environment.

Activities include:

  • Creative Arts: Music production, dance, film, fashion, and art workshops.
  • Sports and Fitness: Boxing, fitness classes, and team sports.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Access to a youth GP service, mental health support, and wellbeing programmes.
  • Skills and Careers: Leadership programmes, employability workshops, and creative industry partnerships.
  • Community and Social Events: Open mic nights, performances, and cultural festivals.

Spotlight’s main hub is at 30 Hay Currie Street, E14 6GN, but sessions also run at other community spaces across Tower Hamlets, including St Paul’s Way Centre and Linc Centre.

Activities are offered 5 days a week, at the various centres.

Most sessions are completely free.

Where is Spotlight?

Spotlight is located right next to Langdon Park DLR station and Langdon School.

Are the sessions free?

Yes! Most sessions on offer are totally free.

Do young people need their own equipment, for example, computers or instruments if they want to make music? Kit or equipment if they want to do boxing?

No. Spotlight is fantastically equipped with hardware, software and apparatus that would also be the standard in many industries. If you have a youngster looking for things to do after school, call and ask for a tour of the centre one day, you'll be amazed!
